Oh Dragon seeks actors for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged).
Oh Dragon Theatre Company is pleased to announce auditions for their production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). Auditions will take place at SPACE (7915 Manchaca Road Austin, Texas 78745) on March 25, 2015 from 7pm-10pm. Casting be will race, gender, and age blind. Actors are asked to prepare a one-minute dramatic monologue. Performances will be May 28th, 29th, 30th, June 4th, 5th, & 6th at Pan Am Hillside Stage.
The play, written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1987, went on to 9 record-breaking years on London’s West End, and has been the world’s most performed stage parody for the last 20 years.
The Complete Works is a hilarious, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s extensive playbook. Three (that’s right, only three) madcap men in tights weave their wacky way through ALL of Shakespeare’s Comedies, Histories and Tragedies in one wild evening that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.
